All Round
Brother A Series
The Brother ‘A’ series of machines are compact powerhouses. Each machine in the range has the ability to cope with a variety of different fabrics, in our sew tests, 6 layers of denim were sewn with ease. They have easy-to-use features like the advanced needle threader, quick-set bobbin, and jog-dial stitch selection. The series starts from A16, onto the A50, then the A65SE. As you move up the models there are more features like an Auto thread cutter and hard case, along with more stitch options. Top of the series is the A150, with a keypad stitch selection, stitch fonts, and a twin needle setting. Each machine has a start/stop button or foot pedal operation with speed control. They are perfect for both beginners and advanced sewers.
Beginners
Brother SH40
A computerised machine that is easy to use, with built-in needle threader and drop-in bobbin with a quick-set feature, meaning no need to draw up the bobbin thread. Easily select stitches, with preset standard stitch length and width which can be altered if required. The machine is operated with either a foot pedal or start-stop button, with the ability to control the speed, ideal when learning to sew. 40 stitch options and the ability to drop the feed dogs for free motion work, mean this machine allows you to grow your sewing skills.

Brother NV1800Q
8 inches of space to the right of the needle, twinned with the included extension table, make this a great machine for large projects. It has lots of automatic features, including tension, thread cutter, fabric weight sensor, and advanced needle threader, which means you can concentrate less on setting up the machine and more on creating. It comes with a large range of feet and accessories, including a walking foot, 1/4” piecing foot, and free motion foot making it great value for money.

It has quick-release levers to change to a rolled hem and deactivate the cutting knife. Sew at a top speed of 1,300 stitches per minute with 2, 3 or 4 threads, to give you the finest of finishes on knits, stretchy and sheer fabrics and even Lycra!
Embroidery
Brother F540E
Sitting at the lower end of the Brother embroidery machine range, the F540e is a great machine packed with features. It has a maximum embroidery area of 180mm x 130mm and a convenient colour sorting function for fewer thread changes. 193 built-in designs at your fingertips, plus the ability to upload more either wirelessly or via the USB port. Designs can be edited in a number of ways; flip, rotate, change the colour, repeat designs and text all on the colour touchscreen.
Brother NV880E
A playful mid-range embroidery machine, with a maximum embroidery area of 260mm x 160mm. It has 258 designs built in and comes with 3 different sizes of hoops. Upload additional designs, in the hoop or applique patterns and lacework designs to the machine either wirelessly or via the USB port. This machine is easy to use with lots of great features and editing capabilities, included is a LED pointer foot to achieve perfect design positioning.
