Bernette B35 Sewing Machine Review
If you’re looking for a cute little machine for either yourself or the beginner sewist in your life...
...Then the Bernette B35 Sewing Machine is something you’ll want to consider. It’s perfect for anyone looking for a mechanical machine that’s inexpensive and easy to use! This little machine is a mechanical sewing machine, so there aren’t any screens or buttons to worry about when trying to select a stitch or customise anything.
You’ll be able to control the sewing machines settings by turning the dials in order to select stitches, change stitch settings, and you’ll have easy access to the reverse lever on the front of the machine. Every dial is clearly marked so that you aren’t having to look up how to use your sewing machine in the manual every time you sit down to use the machine, including easy threading with the simple use of arrows printed directly onto the machine’s body.
With the Bernette B35 Sewing Machine, you’ll have access to 23 different stitches. There is a healthy mixture of both utility and decorative stitches including 1 automatic buttonhole that can work for most fabrics!
You’ll be able to customise your stitches, too, so you’re not stuck with stitches that don’t work for the project you’re working on. You’ll be able to get a maximum width of 5mm as well as be able to change the length of your stitches, too. It’s really easy to change with the turn of the right dials. You’ll also use the dials to select your stitches as needed.
This machine is a standard sewing machine size. It’s big enough that you’ll be able to work on medium sized quilts with 6 inches of workspace to the right of the needle, and you’ll be able to work on most types of garments.
And this machine can handle some thicker layers, too! With a 2-step presser foot lift, you’ll be able to fit quilt layers and garments with layers underneath the foot and needle with ease. Just add in a walking foot and you’ll be set to take on thick fabric layers! Whether you’re attaching a binding to a quilt or making sure that your fabrics are fed through the machine evenly.
You’ll love how much storage space this little machine has, too. In the flat bed, you’ll have plenty of space to store all of the accessories that come standard with the sewing machine, plus a little extra room for any other accessories you want to add to your order!
