The Bernina 325 is a compact but high-quality sewing machine for anyone who is either tight on space or wants to be able to take their sewing machine traveling with them. It has 6.3 inches of workspace to the right of the needle. And you’ll be able to expand on that space with the included extension table! Extension tables are great to have on hand when you’re sewing larger, heavier projects and want to avoid the fabric pulling away from the needle, or when you’re piecing quilt tops to have your fabric stacked and ready to go nearby!
This sewing machines arsenal boasts 97 unique stitches. That includes 1 buttonhole that is useful for many different projects and fabrics, as well as all of the most important and useful utility, quilting, and decorative stitches. You’ll be able to customise any stitches you need to as well. You can get a maximum stitch width of 5.5mm.
It also has some great features built-in so that your sewing experience is easy and fun! You’ll love being able to thread your machine quickly with the built-in needle threader. And with the automatic needle up/down button, you’ll be able to place and remove your fabric before and after sewing a seam. If you want to make sure that you can slow down the machine when you need to, you can simply do that with the clearly marked speed control slider.
This sewing machine has a front loading bobbin. Front loaders are great because you’ll be able to change the bobbin without having to completely remove your project from the needle. Simply trim the threads and switch out the empty bobbin for a full one and you can continue sewing!
If you’re into quilting, especially free motion quilting or free embroidery, you’ll be able to do that very easily with the Bernina 325 Sewing Machine. You’ll be able to drop the feed dogs whenever you want to with the press of a button. Dropping the feed dogs is a great way to work on delicate applique, couching, and free motion quilting.
