Schmetz Sewing Machine Needles Double Eye Size 80/12 Pack of 5
The Double Eye Needle has two needle eyes. This keeps the thread sequence the same, as opposed to two threads through one needle eye.
Use different thread colours to create special embroidery works.
Create special effects using multi-colour threads.
Apply a thicker seam by using threads of the same colour.
Thread each thread one after the other through every guide, while paying attention to the spacers over the needle (if present). When doing so, it is best to refer to the machine operating manual provided by the manufacturer.
Insert the needle completely into the needle bar until you reach the stop. You should always try out the desired decorative stitch first, starting with the smallest stitch width and then incrementally increasing it. If the upper thread is not grasped in an optimal manner, you can affix the needle just below the stop, less than 1 mm, in the needle bar.
Then carefully turn the hand wheel and apply the first stitches manually. This will prevent damage to the machine or needle. If neither of the upper threads are able to intertwine with the lower threads in an optimal manner, then we recommend checking the fine adjustment of the machine.
Your sewing machine needle is the most important element in the stitch forming process. Using the correct needles for every different sewing application makes all the difference to your sewing!
Needles are sized in metric and imperial. The smaller the numbers the finer the needle. The size of a needle is calculated by its diameter, a 90 needle is 0.9mm in diameter.
