Celebrating our 20th Birthday in 2024!

We celebrated 20 years of successful trading here at The Sewing Studio, Redruth this month!

As a family-owned business who specialise in sewing, quilting and sewing machine sales, we’ve been incredibly proud to grow in the last two-decades into a business that serves a global customer base with many customers based in US, Canada and Australia as well as the UK and Europe. Our shop has one of the largest collections of quilting fabric in the UK and we’re also very proud to be the largest sewing machine retailer in the Southwest.

We were thrilled to celebrate this huge achievement with customers new and old, employees and members of the Redruth town council at our birthday event on 12th October which was attended by over 500 sewers, quilters and makers from around the UK.

We’re also delighted that the event also raised £477.43 for Children’s Hospice South West who provide hospice care for children and young people living with life-limiting conditions and their whole family. They support with hospice breaks, emergency care, palliative care and end of life care at three wonderful children's hospices in Cornwall.

Thank you to Katrina and Jeanette for helping us decorate the cafe in run up to the party and for serving tea, cake and refreshments all day - we know they loved seeing so many friendly faces and chatting about the YouTube channel tutorials with you all!

Thank you to Bray's & K's for the delicious Cornish pasties and Vanity Fayre for the sandwiches; we had an incredible spread!
